This film was made in 2003 to highlight the story of Bruce Trevorrow, an indigenous Australian who was taken from his mother as an infant and thus became another "story" of the Australian Stolen Generation.  In his late adulthood Bruce took his case through the courts in Australia and won, seeking compensation for having been "taken" and raised in numerous foster care homes and institutional facilities.  A local songwriter, Nicole Barr approached me to work with her to make this film where Bruce told his story and I recorded it both on digital disc as well as tape.  We filmed in locations around the East Gippsland region, mostly Bairnsdale, Metung and Lakes Entrance, over a period of several months until we captured the essence of Bruce's sense of "no direction, nowhere to go," as he says in the film.

Bruce passed away in June 2008 after setting a landmark decision in the South Australian courts in favour of the Stolen Generation.  This film was used in his case.
